PI Com Investigations & Missing Link Investigations Terms and Conditions
PI Com is PI Com Investigations, and, MLI is Missing Link Investigations;
MLI is DBA PI Com Investigations.
- Agreements can be either verbal or written;
- Agreements differ between clients;
- Agreements for all investigative services are between business and client; they are not adhesion contracts; a separate agreement is designed for each client / case; every client can add notations to any agreement, or request to amend written or verbal agreements; both parties will bind the revised or amended agreement via dates and signatures;
- Hourly rate is between $175 & $500 (factors that change fees and rates will be discussed with each client); a flat fee can be used / implemented in some investigations;
- All expenses are paid by the client;
- All retainer fees are held in trust, and collected prior to starting work;
- Unused paid fees are refunded to client at the end of the investigation;
- Unused retainer refunds are calculated at real time labor hours worked;
- Investigations classified as a MLI are generally "no charge" to the client(s); donations are accepted, and are what "keeps the lights on";
- Missing Person "Reward" money is accepted either in full or part;
- The client(s), if necessary, agree to formal or informal mediation, and no other legal process, in the event there is a dispute between PI Com, and or, MLI and Client(s);
- Depending on the circumstances of each case, PI Com and MLI will release limited information, or that information which is reasonably necessary to update the client(s), in order to Preserve case integrity and confidentiality;
- Client(s) understand that we will communicate some or most of our
investigation results to the police, if, and, as needed; this is primarily done
at the missing person level. Any other communication to the police is
primarily at the discretion of the client; a PI Com or MLI investigator can
contact law enforcement at any time for assistance; however, the client(s)
identity is CONFIDENTIAL at ALL times to all forms of law enforcement;
- In most cases, the police are NOT notified. The decision to communicate any information to law enforcement will be discussed FIRST, between
PI Com, and or, MLI and the Client(s);
- All Right Are Reserved with ALL investigations.
