Locate Persons & Skip Tracing
We offer skip tracing services to locate hard-to-find individuals for service of process. Our investigators use advanced methods to locate even the most elusive individuals.
At PI Com, a skip trace is a locate investigation. The base fee of $250 includes running and reviewing several reports. Additional fees might be required to confirm the person is at the address found.
If the reason for the locate investigation is to serve papers, the locate specialist will provide the server with the results, and attempt service. If the client needs the address before filing court papers, PI Com will provide the address to the client.
If the locate is for service of process, and the process server gets information the person is not at the address found, our process servers will investigate and notify the investigator, typically while still at the location. We strive to serve the documents at the first attempt. We don't just knock on doors.
Purchasing the base fee locate investigation does not guarantee the person will be at the address found. To confirm if the person resides or works at the address found, other methods would need to be used, and additional fees will be requested to continue.
